MISSION STATEMENT

 

Williston Head Start is a network of community, staff, parent, and child involvement working for the enhancement of quality family life.

WILLISTON HEAD START BELIEVES:

 

CHILDREN

Are unique and valuable individuals who have the right to grow and develop at their own pace. Children need a variety of opportunities to experience people, places and things in a mannerthat will allow them to achieve success and to develop a sense of trust in their world.

 

PARENTS

Are important in her/his right, and the first and primary educator of their children. Head Start can reap many benefits from the contributions and resources of parents in the day to day learning activities of their children.

 

STAFF

Provides support for parents and children to grow and mature as independent individuals. Staff is encouraged to develop professionally by attending training sessions on Early Childhood and being informed of the latest resources available.

 

COMMUNITY

Is an essential resource for growth and support for children, parents, and staff.
