  Homecoming
If you ask anyone in Student Council, they'd definitely agree that Homecoming is the biggest and busiest event we do all year long. We put on the whole show. We start planning for Homecoming in January of the previous school year. There are many committees that we cover: Publicity, T-Shirt and Tattoo Sale, the Parade, Pre-Game/Half-Time Show, Float Building, Dress-up Days, Decorating the Halls/Dance, and Coronation of Homecoming King and Queen. There is a lot of effort put into each committee and each year gets better and better.

October/November/December

  State Convention
Each year in mid December, everyone in Student Council goes to Bismarck, ND, for the State Convention. The Convention is hwere we learn leadership skills. We have a candidate that will run for a state office position. This consists of campaigning and creating a skit to perform in front of our peers. Also, we meet new friends, get good ideas for our own Student Council from other towns, attend mini-sessions, listen to great motivational speakers, and of course, go to the dance. Last year over 90 schools and 1,200 students attended the convention! We as a Student Council benefit in knowing that we can make a difference in our school because we know other stuents from other thats that have.

  Christmas Assembly
Each year we put on an assembly which may include skits, shows, etc. This year's assembly was ased on the comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live Punk'd and Santa Letters. It was a great evening that got everyone into the Christmas mood.

  Peppermint Post Office
This commitee sells candy/suckers and popcorn balls. Students and staff members may purchase some for themselves and/or for other colleagues. As a result of Christmas kindness, many families received a bountiful amount of money from the school.

  Spring Fling:
Each year, a whole week is dedicated to the coming of Spring. Last year, we had dress-up days where each day had a different theme. At the end of the week, a dance is held for high school students. This year, we had motivational speaker/chalk artist Bob Upgren come and talk to the Junior High and High School students.

  Teacher Appreciation Week
The first week of May is Teacher Appreciation Week. Student Council gives each of the teachers a gift each day. We appreciate what our teachers do for us.
