Vision
The Williston Community takes pride in being a family of respectful, responsible, enthusiastic, life-long learners. We are committed to develop each individual's talents and capabilities to the fullest.

Mission
Through positive instruction and community leadership, students of Williston Public School District #1 will be people of sound character. Our students will be self-directed, with highly developed academic, communication, and life skills, empowering them to become productive, responsible, and contributing members of society.

Belief Statement
We believe Rickard School is a placewhere everyone feels safe, shows responsibility, and takes pride in creating an enjoyable, respectful learning environment.

SMART Goals
1-Assessment: All staff will analyze student data to improve student learning and achievement.

2-Literacy: By the fall of 2008, 88% of all students in grades 3-6 will be proficient or advanced in literacy as evidenced by NDSA.

3-Math: By the Fall of 2008, 91% of all students in grades 3-6 will be proficient or advanced in Math as evidenced by NDSA.

4-NDSA: By the fall of 2008, students in grades 3-6 will be proficient/advanced in reading and 91% will be proficient/advanced in Math on the NDSA.

10-Family Involvement: Family involvement will increase by 5% each year until 2012.
